The Adairsville Legacy Club ("we", "us", "our") is a 501(c) nonprofit organization that supports Adairsville High School and Adairsville Middle School football. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, how we protect it, and the choices you have. By using adairsvillelegacy.com or any of our services, you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate the Legacy Club and serve our members and supporters:

• Name — for accounts, memberships, donations, and event registrations.
• Email address — for account access, receipts, member portal notifications, and event communications.
• Mobile phone number — for account security (password reset codes), member portal alerts, and other text-message communications you opt in to.
• Membership information — membership tier, status, renewal date, and related history.
• Donation information — donation amount, date, designated campaign, and payment status. Payment card numbers are handled by Stripe; we never see or store full card details.
• Event registration information — golf tournament entries, RSVPs, volunteer signups, sponsorship details, and ticket purchases.
• Account & usage data — login activity, member portal preferences, and basic analytics (pages viewed, device type) to improve the site.

How we use your information

We use the information above for the following purposes:

• Email communications — account emails (verification, password reset, receipts), membership renewal notices, event updates, donor acknowledgments, and Legacy Club newsletters.
• SMS / text communications — password reset codes, account security alerts, member portal notifications, event reminders, golf tournament updates, fundraising updates, volunteer updates, and membership communications. SMS is opt-in (see below).
• Member Portal notifications — in-app and push notifications for chat messages, mentions, announcements, and other portal activity you have subscribed to.
• Donation and event communications — receipts, tax acknowledgments, ticket confirmations, schedule changes, and follow-up about events you registered for.
• Operations & improvement — to operate, secure, and improve the website and member portal.
• Legal compliance — to comply with applicable laws and respond to lawful requests.

SMS / text messaging

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile phone numbers collected for SMS consent are excluded from any sharing with third parties. We share your mobile number only with our SMS delivery provider (Twilio) for the sole purpose of delivering the messages you have requested.

• Opt-in. Users may provide a phone number through membership applications, event registrations, donation forms, volunteer forms, or contact forms, but providing a phone number alone does not opt the user into SMS messages. Users opt in to SMS messages only by enabling SMS notifications in their logged-in Member Portal profile, or by texting START to an Adairsville Legacy Club SMS-enabled number.
• Message frequency. Message frequency may vary based on the alerts you have opted in to and on Legacy Club activity.
• Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier plan.
• Opt-out. Reply STOP to any text message to unsubscribe at any time. You will receive a one-time confirmation message and will not receive further texts from that program.
• Help. Reply HELP for assistance or contact members@adairsvillelegacy.com. Message frequency may vary. Message and data rates may apply.
• Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

Consent to receive SMS messages is not a condition of membership, donation, event registration, volunteer participation, or any purchase.

Sharing your information

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us operate the Legacy Club, and only as needed to deliver our services:

• Stripe — payment processing for memberships, donations, and event purchases.
• Twilio — SMS delivery for the messages you have opted in to.
• Email service provider — delivery of transactional and newsletter emails.
• Hosting and database providers — secure storage of account and member data.

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of the Legacy Club, our members, or the public.

Data security

We use industry-standard safeguards, including TLS encryption in transit, access controls, and managed cloud infrastructure, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep your data safe.

Your choices

• To request deletion of your account or personal information, contact members@adairsvillelegacy.com.
• Unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in any email.
• Unsubscribe from SMS by replying STOP to any message.
• Adjust member portal notification preferences in your profile.

Children's privacy

The Legacy Club website is intended for adults (18+). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify members through the website or email.
